I’m sorry for not posting last week and that this post is going up a little late, hope you can forgive me! Anyway, I think in winter we are all wanting to pamper a little bit more. I personally would much rather have a warm bubble bath when it’s snowing outside then in the middle of summer. Since it’s also Christmas, it makes the pamper nights even better! So, here is what I do when I’m in the mood to relax and treat myself!
Ok this one sounds a little weird, but I actually relax by cleaning! It doesn’t matter how warm the bath is or how cozy my pajamas are if my room is a wreck. Forget it. I’m stressed, all I can think about is the mess. I just do a little tidy up everywhere to keep my mind at ease.
I can’t take a bath without showering first, again weird, but I find it annoying to have to shave or actually bathe in the bath. The Jason’s body wash has been my absolute favorite recently! Also, I like to wash my hair during a pamper night and I cannot do that in a bathtub. So, I just take a little longer in the shower and get myself super squeaky clean!
•prep the bath
This is honestly one of my fave parts. It takes awhile for my bath to fill up so I get all the bath products together and get myself a drink, which is usually water because the only warm drink I like is coffee which I don’t think is the best thing to drink when you’re trying to wind down.
Yay! My favorite time of the night! I love this part because I really just sit there. I will watch YouTube or catch up on some blog posts I’ve missed. I love just laying in the warm, yummy smelling water. (Sorry for the poor picture quality, I just snapped a quick picture while I was in the bath)
I love skincare. If you guys want me to do a separate post on my routine and tips for clear skin I would really love to do that! I actually make most of my products, like face wash, facial scrub, moisturizer and eye brightening serum. I’ve just started testing them out and if they work well, I will definitely talk about them in a separate post!
I loveee Christmas movies. I feel like I haven’t watch as many this year so the few days I have left to watch them I’m trying to fit as many as I can in. Also, while I’m watching I do like to enjoy a sneaky little treat, typically some flavor of ice cream or Christmas cookies
•get ready for bed
This is where I will brush my teeth, take out my contacts, have a quick stretch, fill my waterbottle with water, and fill my essential oil diffuser. I just recently started diffusing oils again and I now remember why I was so obsessed! At nighttime I will typically use the sleep aid oil from Vereditas.
I love to read and it’s something I always try to do before bed, but sometimes I either don’t have time or I’m naughty and will go on my phone before bed. When I’m doing a pamper evening I do like to do the things I don’t normally do and this is one of them!
During a pamper evening I like to go to bed at a early or reasonable time. Typically, 9:30-10. I usually have a pretty hard time falling asleep, so I’ve found taking some melatonin gummies before bed really helps.
